On Thursday 29th June we planned a day immersed in all things French! Many of the staff dressed in Red, White and Blue or with a French theme. Our caterer provided Chicken Chasseur with mashed potatoes, French green beans, French onion soup with a crusty baguette followed by Crepes with chocolate sauce for lunch, which was delicious.
We invited Madam Mitchell to visit the school, she is the head of modern foreign languages at The King's school in Gloucester. She was accompanied by 7 of her students from upper school. They moved around the classes, working with all ages groups and helping them to learn more French. We had cookery, pictures, reading, number work and much more going on throughout the day.
All in all it was a brilliant day and the children got a lot out of it.
Viva la French!
