Visions and Values

Our Vision

We have a vision at Tibberton Community Primary School, for all our children to LEARN, EXPLORE, ASPIRE and FLOURISH (LEAF).

We aim to provide all our children with high quality, inclusive education through learning and exploring their curriculum.  We encourage our children, our staff and families to aspire to be their best and flourish as individuals with strong shared values in our community.

Our Values

At Tibberton our values focus on Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience, Friendship which link with our PSHCE curriculum: SCARF.

Parents can find out more about the SCARF curriculum and how they can support it at home here: Family SCARF (coramlifeeducation.org.uk)

These are  centred on a values-based and 'Growth Mindset' approach, which promotes positive behaviour, mental health, wellbeing, resilience and achievement. More than just a PSHE scheme of work, SCARF supports great learning every day.

Our children are awarded SCARF Certificates each Friday to celebrate these values.

Behaviour

We want our school to be a safe place where everyone is aware of what is expected of them and where we treat one another with equal respect. Our behaviour policy provides a framework by which the members of our school can live and work together in a supportive way. The school and nursery aim to work alongside parents to promote a happy, orderly and secure environment where children can learn and develop as caring, responsible citizens. Positive behaviour encourages British Values in our school and nursery.

Our aims for behaviour are that children will:

Respect the rights, opinions and property of others.

Take responsibility for their actions and behaviour

Achieve their full potential personally, socially, emotionally and academically

Be confident in themselves and have high self-esteem

Encouraging Good behaviour
