Our Music Intention
We want children at Tibberton CP School and Early Years to develop a life-long love of music and to see themselves as musicians. We want children to increase their confidence, creativity and sense of achievement through a variety of musical experiences and provide opportunities for children to perform, compose and listen to a wide range of music. We aspire to provide all children with the opportunity to learn an instrument and to flourish within our school by developing their musical interests.
Top Tips for Parents
Play Music at Home
Put on a variety of music around the house and chat about the artist, their background, instruments you hear, and how the music makes you feel.
Explore Music Apps
Try using GarageBand on an iPad or computer to experiment with creating sounds, rhythms and simple compositions.
Sing Together
Singing—anywhere and anytime—helps build confidence, rhythm, memory and musical enjoyment.
Encourage Instrument Learning
If possible, support your child in learning a musical instrument to develop skills, discipline and creativity
