Welcome to Tibberton Community Primary School and Early Years
We are very proud of our school and nursery
From the Headteacher
I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Tibberton Community Primary School and Early Years and of the wonderful children, families and staff who make our school and nursery such a special place. Ours is a school where children are known as individuals, where relationships matter, and where every child is supported to flourish.
Nestled at the heart of a thriving village community between Gloucester and Newent, Tibberton Community Primary School and Early Years offers a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive environment. With 106 children across the school and 37 children in our Nursery, we are able to maintain a close-knit, family-feel setting in which strong relationships are built and children feel safe, secure and valued from the very start of their learning journey.
We are proud to be an inclusive school that warmly welcomes all children and families. Diversity is celebrated and we are committed to ensuring that every child is supported to reach their full potential, whatever their starting point. Our nurturing ethos ensures that children are happy, confident and encouraged to be themselves, creating strong foundations for both academic success and personal development.
Academic excellence and sporting achievement are key strengths of our school, and we consistently encourage pupils to strive for high personal standards in all areas of school life. Alongside this, we place great importance on children’s emotional wellbeing, recognising that positive emotional development is fundamental to effective learning. Through play, exploration and carefully planned, purposeful learning experiences, children develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.
Our curriculum is underpinned by our LEAF values - Learn, Explore, Aspire and Flourish. These values are woven through daily school life and support children to be curious, resilient and aspirational learners who take pride in their achievements and understand the importance of kindness, respect and perseverance.
Central to our success is our dedicated, highly skilled and experienced staff team. They go above and beyond the traditional roles of teachers and teaching partners to ensure that learning is engaging, meaningful and fun. Staff across the nursery and school work closely together to ensure a smooth and nurturing transition into school, supporting children to become confident, independent learners. Our calm, purposeful environment and strong relationships result in positive behaviour and happy, motivated children.
Tibberton Community Primary School and Early Years is truly at the heart of its community - a place where children feel safe, are encouraged to dream big, and are supported every step of the way to flourish.
