Physical Education

Our PE Intention

At Tibberton Community Primary school and Early Years we recognise the importance PE plays in the curriculum and are committed to providing all children with opportunities to engage fully in Physical Education. The aim of our PE programme is to develop children’s basic physical competences, build confidence in their ability and build the foundations for a lifelong love of sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyle.

Top Tips for Parents

Aim for 60 Minutes of Activity Daily
Children should take part in at least 60 minutes of moderate to high physical activity each day—30 minutes in school and 30 minutes at home.
Walk to School When Possible
Walking to and from school is a simple way to boost daily activity and create healthy habits.
Add a Daily Walk
Go for a family walk and turn it into a fun challenge—try a speed walk and see who can walk the fastest!
Park and Stride
If you drive, try parking further away from school to include a short, active walk to the building.
Try a New Sport
Explore local sports clubs or leisure centres to find new activities your child might enjoy and want to stick with.
